White Wall Wednesday: Episode 8

White Wall Wednesday: Episode 8

We’re back in the editing room today for White Wall Wednesday! I swear each video gets longer and longer and I have to work harder to cut it down. But that’s because I’m feeling so excited to share, share, share! I have a new energy about me recently that has been brought on by change. A new series I’ve dedicated my year to has been fulfilling, so creating these videos feels like a step back into my “normal” process, which is nice to feel. My world is balanced by creating new work that I haven’t shown anyone and sharing more than ever about my usual workflow.

I asked you last week what types of things you’d like to see in editing, so this week we cover:

  1. How to add fog.
  2. How to cut hair off of a background.
  3. A more in-depth look at color through curves.

Leave some love below if you found this video useful! I hope you can use one of these techniques in your own work, whatever that may look like!

Have a crazy swell week and remember to take a renewed sense of inspiration with you in everything you do today. Smile when you don’t want to smile, hug someone you think may need it. Why not, right? And promote passion – always, promote passion.

  1. Hi Brooke! Thank you SO much for doing these tutorials / examples! I am learning Photoshop on my own and watching how you create your images is so helpful!

  2. Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! It was so inspiring…. and I learned something new about using curves to add color to an image!!! Awesome!!!!!

  3. I love your work and your videos even though some of them assume a level of knowledge that I don’t always have and are maybe a little over my head. I’m not a photographer per se, I’m a retired stained glass artist and started using an Adobe product called Photo Deluxe to improve the photos of my work. I then acquired Photoshop 4 (I think) but it was so much more complicated than Photo Deluxe that I never really used it. Not just complicated but, it seemed to me, purposely obscure. I now have Photoshop Elements 14 and find it much more user friendly

Anyway, I just want to thank you for what you’re doing

  5. Loved the white wall tutorial no 8. Thanks so much. Am sure to use your tips in the future. Is it possible to view past white wall Wed tutorials ? I seem to have missed the previous 7 and am sure there could be some great stuff in there. Thanks again. Trevor

  6. I have never used the background eraser tool before, I will give it a shot. It looks much easier and faster than the way I have been doing it. 🙂

  7. I hope you just keep creating……..I drink up your photos. They just reach out and grab you. I only just realized you had tutorials, so I will definitely watch everything. Thank you so much!!!

  8. Hola brooke. Lo que mas me llama la atención son las poses que logras!!! con el disparador remoto , lograr esas tomas, es realmente tener mucho control de luz, tu cuerpo y de fotografía… amo tu trabajo. es muy inspirador.
