It feels like fall here too, I had a big mug of hot black tea this morning.

I love everything about this photo, it is just really great! And you give a great short explanation on how you did it.

If you are down to editing your novel you must be getting closer to finished. Between working my day job, working my home job, photography, and woodcarving, my novel hasn't been moving very quickly. :( But I plan on finishing it before the end of the year. :)

Good luck selling your house and finding one you like. Hope you enjoyed your chai tea.

Brooke, I love this. It is very painterly and atmospheric. And I love that you continue to experiment and try different things. Always inspiring!

Very beautiful effects. :)
I also love autumn, it's such a strong season with lots of winds, colours and light. I don't know how fall-like November is at your place, here it's pretty dark, so I chose to call it LOVEMBER instead and fill it with light and lovely projects. It's just a twist in the mind and zack! here you have a very positive way to see what might be frightening (like change).

About the painterly effect: I don't use photoshop, but I found a way to make my pictures look chalky if they need to look that way. Last year I was quite down for a while and I took one pic a day, to lift me up. I made them look chalky for fragility. I did that by increasing the grain and change it to white. That simple! :D
This is how it looks like: http://www.alltagspoesie.com/gestrandet/

There are so many ways to find a solution for the effects you want to have. It's easy to press a button to make pictures look a certain way. But it's much more satisfying to find your own way...

Have a lovely autumn! I love coming back to your blog, it's one of the few I still read (I find reading blogs more and more tiring).

All the best! <3

I love this transition from summer to autumn. It is quite inspiring, no doubt! Lots of color is in the air! Although here it will take a while for this transition. I liked the "painting"! :)
