Whenever I read your articles, I can feel that special magic and the same time my heart is a little bit sad, that my head decided not to spend these days with you in South France. It’s true. Magic is not to be taken lightly(hocus-pocus;foolishness)
but should be understood for the fluid thing it is, the wonder and great possibilities held there. Though I hold the scientific method in the highest esteem I still see this emotional and fluid magic as essential to the discovery of the beauty and possibility in our selves and our world. And, so, I am very happy to have found someone
who, not only seems to understand this conundrum, but, can create
material, beautiful pieces that prove the truth of it all.

This is truly beautiful and inspiring. I cannot stand it when people tell me that they don’t believe in something because it hasn’t been scientifically proven yet. I personally believe in mermaids, fairies, leprechauns, and more because my curiosity will always get the best of me and even if they don’t exist here, then they live in the crazy world that is my head and I am happy with that! Thank you for this post! It really made my day! 🙂

Magic is essential to thriving these days. My daughter is an artist and struggles w/ this state of mind. I wish their was a way I could show her that her imagination is her most important asset and that the approval of others is the hinderance.

Same with me… when you described family gatherings around your grandparent’s long dining table, I was instantly transported to such events at my Nonna and Nonno’s home.
